Complaints/disputes in Belgium

You have a complaint with regards to one of your trading partners (supplier or purchaser).  What should you do?
  1. We advise you to always inform the responsible of your professional association of your complaint, who will examine the complaint and check whether this is an individual case or not.
  2. If not the responsible will notify the Committee of the complaint, who will deal with it.
  3. and/or you follow the rules for the individual disputes as written in the Code of Conduct (click here for the disputes procedure for individual complaints/disputes).

Cross-border disputes

You have a complaint concerning the principles for fair trading practices with regards to one of your trading partners (supplier of purchaser) abroad.  What should you do?
  1. We advise you to always notify the responsible of your professional association of your complaint.
  2. The responsible of your organisation will examine the complaint and check whether this is an individual case or not.
  3. If not the responsible of your professional association will forward the complaint to (Belgian) Committee for further investigation.  The Committee will pass on the file to the European Governance Group.  The Governance Group will examine the complaint and provide guidelines and interpretation.
  4. And/or you can apply the rules for the individual disputes as included in the Code of Conduct (click here for the disputes procedure for individual complaints/disputes).
